Auditions

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST AUDITIONS

on the Main Stage Theatre
(plan to attend all auditions, if possible)

Auditions are open to all students. No experience necessary.


Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsal schedule will be developed after casting assignments are made.

Preparation:
Auditions will consist of cold readings, improvisation and character interpretation exercises. NO preparation is necessary. Students will fill out audition forms on the first day of auditions. Students may read through the scripts in the Black Box Theatre starting the Wednesday before auditions.

Mandatory Parent Meeting:
TBA
All cast member families are expected to put in 15 hours of service to the project. Following the Parent Meeting, volunteer opportunities can be arranged through the CVHS Theatre Boosters.

Production Fees
Production fees are $70.00 per student per show. In addition, students are expected to supply their own Make Up Kit, Dance Shoes (if required) and proper undergarments for performance.

Students not able to meet these costs due to financial burdens may apply to the David Malinak Memorial Fund for assistance.

Technical Crew Applications

Applications for the Technical Crew can be found outside D-111 and are Due no later than Friday of the week of auditions to Mr. Muzatko.

GRADUATION CREDITS
The CVHS Theatre Production Season are evening classes.

Student performers will receive a letter grade and a Fine Arts credit towards graduation based on Attendance, Rehearsals, Work Ethics, Character Research and Performances. Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals and performances is mandatory.

Technical Crew Members will receive a letter grade and a Fine Arts credit OR CTE credit towards graduation based on Attendance, Work Ethic, Group Work Techniques and Overall Performance Quality. Attendance at all scheduled work times and performances is mandatory.
