Michael J. Muzatko is the Director & Theatre Coordinator of Central Valley High School and Performing Arts Center, a high school theatre department producing three productions a year.

Mr. Muzatko received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Gonzaga University in Music Education K-12 and Opera Performance. He also holds teaching endorsements in the Arts, English Literature, Theatre, and CTE Technical Theatre and Design.

After his first passion of teaching, Michael is a professional Actor, Dancer, Director, Choreographer, and Clinician throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada and parts of Europe.

He has worked with most of the arts organizations in the area including his appearances with CDA Summer Theatre, Ballet Spokane, Garden City Ballet, Connoisseur Concerts, Spokane Opera, the Spokane Symphony and Chorale, and Spokane Civic Theatre. Michael has served as Board President for Ballet Spokane, The Spokane Chorale, The Washington Alliance for Theatre Educators and Spokane Civic Theatre. Mr. Muzatko also received the Robert and Margot Ogden Lifetime Achievement Award from the Spokane Civic Theatre for his unending passion, leadership and dedication to theatre in our community.

Mr. Muzatko has worked with the Disney "Imagineers" in developing their worldwide theme parks internship program. He was a finalist for the National Disney Excellence in Teaching award and the Central Valley School District Meritorious Service award. He is also the recipient of the Christa McAuliffe Excellence in Education award for the state of Washington and is proud to be the Theatre Director/Coordinator for Central Valley High School and Performing Arts Center.
